what is a chemistry
The branch of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances.
Basic Defination:- Study of matter and it’s property.
What is Matter?
• Everything we see around yourself is called MATTER.
• MATTER is Anything that have Mass and Volume.
Who is the father of chemistry ?
The father of chemistry is Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier who wrote the book “Elements of Chemistry” in 1787. He compiled the first complete—at that time—catalogue of the elements discovered. and named oxygen and hydrogen, helped develop the metric system, helped to revise and standardize chemical nomenclature, and found that matter retains its mass even when it changes form.
